Having been to the OBX many times over the last 20 years, this was one of our favorite locations! Katy was so responsive and welcoming, which we really appreciated. Upon arriving, there was a basket stocked with snacks, water and coffee cups. We thought this was a really nice gesture after a long road trip.
There were many restaurants, attractions and markets that were super close. The condo unit itself was clean and updated and right on the beach. We stayed over Thanksgiving but got really lucky with amazing weather (70s!) a couple days so got to enjoy nice, long walks on the beach. It was perfect. Our kids loved the indoor pool and hot tub too. Would definitely stay at this place again!!

We had a comfortable time during our OBX trip. Although the weather was not the best, we had all the amenities in the house to enjoy our time. The kitchen was well stocked with clean pots and pans and all the rooms were clean. The location is great especially if you want to walk down to the beach or do activities closeby. Wright Brothers memorial is only a 5 minute drive and there are several restaurant options around as well.
It’s a partial ocean view from the main floor balcony, however the balcony was spacious enough for us to spend quality time with our family over morning coffee and evening drinks.
The host is proactive, responsive and has maintained a clean and welcoming house.

This was a second time staying at Salty Shenanigans and we had another fantastic stay! Beautiful upgrades were made this year to the unit. Condo is super clean and includes all of the amenities. Cost is worth having the ability to walk to the pool, beach and back again without getting in the car. Our 3 year old loves the splash pad and zero entry pool.

Loved our stay here! The accommodations were great. Everything was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Katy reached out to check in and responded quickly when I had a question. She gave us a list of local recommendations and we loved the restaurants she recommended. The amenities at the Croatan surf club are nice.
